Import and export
CSV and Excel imports, and getting your data out.
- What file types can I import?CSV and Excel (.xlsx) for the catalog, customers and past orders.
- What columns does the catalog import need?At least name and price. Extra columns such as SKU, category and stock make the catalog more useful.
- What happens during an import preview?Anchor shows how many rows are ready and how many need attention, with row-level errors, before anything is saved.
- What happens to duplicate SKUs on import?Rows with a SKU that already exists are skipped, and the import summary lists them. Duplicates inside the file are flagged in the preview.
- Why do some rows need attention?A required value is missing or invalid, for example an empty name or a price that is not a number. Fix the rows in your file and upload again.
- Can I import customers?Yes, with names, emails or phone numbers, from CSV or Excel, after a preview.
- Can I import my sales history?Yes. Past orders import needs at least a product and quantity column; dates cannot be in the future in your business timezone.
- How do I export my data from Anchor?Write to support@pinevon.com from the account that owns the business and we will help with an export. Self-service export from the dashboard is not available yet.
- Is there a file size limit for imports?Very large files may be rejected. If an import fails, split the file into smaller parts and try again.
- Why did my file fail to read? The file may be corrupted, password-protected or in an unsupported format. Save it again as CSV or .xlsx and retry.
