Channels and integrations

Website, Messenger, WhatsApp, Instagram, Telegram and email.

  • Which channels can Anchor connect to?Your website widget, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, Instagram, Telegram and email. Each uses the same grounded assistant.
  • How do I connect Telegram?Create a bot with @BotFather, copy its bot token, and paste it into Channels → Telegram → Connect. It is free and needs no app review.
  • How do I connect Facebook Messenger?Enter your Meta Page ID and Page Access Token from your Meta App dashboard (Messenger → Settings) under Channels → Messenger.
  • How do I connect WhatsApp?Use WhatsApp Business through Meta’s Cloud API: enter your Phone Number ID and Access Token from the same Meta App used for Messenger.
  • How do I connect Instagram?Enter your Instagram Business Account ID and Access Token from the same Meta App under Channels → Instagram.
  • How do I connect email?Choose an address name such as "support" under Channels → Email. Anchor generates a dedicated inbound address for your business and drafts AI-assisted replies to customer emails.
  • What do I need from Meta to use Messenger, WhatsApp or Instagram?A Meta developer app and the relevant page or business account, plus the IDs and access tokens Anchor asks for. Anchor cannot create these for you.
  • Why is a channel showing Not connected?It has not been set up or was disconnected. Enter the details and choose Connect.
  • How do I disconnect a channel?Choose Disconnect on that channel in Channels.
  • Why did connecting a channel fail?The most common cause is an incorrect ID or an access token that is expired or lacks permission. Copy them again from the provider and retry.
  • Do customers need to install anything?No. Anchor meets customers where they already are: your website or the messaging app they use.
  • Are messages from every channel in one place?Conversations lists customer conversations from your connected channels so you can review and reply.
  • Are channel webhooks verified?Yes. Inbound Messenger and billing webhooks are processed only after their cryptographic signature is verified.
  • Does Anchor have an API for developers?Not as a public, documented API yet. We are exploring developer capabilities and will publish them when they are ready.
