1. Who these terms are with
Anchor is a product of [Pinevon legal entity name — e.g. "Pinevon, Inc." or "Pinevon LLC", plus jurisdiction of incorporation] ("Pinevon," "we," "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Anchor, including the dashboard, the customer-facing chat widget, and the API (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and the business you represent.
2. What Anchor is
Anchor lets a business connect its product catalog and order data so that (a) an AI assistant can answer that business's customers using the business's real, retrieved product data, and (b) the business owner can ask plain-language questions about their own orders and sales. Anchor is designed to answer from real, retrieved data and to say so — and hand off to a human — when it doesn't have a confident, grounded answer, rather than guess.
3. Accounts and eligibility
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your credentials secure. You're responsible for activity that happens under your account and under any team member accounts you invite to your business. You must be legally able to enter into a contract to use the Service on behalf of a business.
4. Trials, subscriptions, and billing
New accounts start with a free trial. Paid plan pricing, billing cadence, and what happens at the end of a trial are described at checkout and in your account settings at the time you subscribe — this is deliberately not fixed in these Terms, since it is set and updated separately. 5. Your data
You (or the business you represent) own your product catalog, order data, and any content you upload. You grant Pinevon a license to store, process, and transmit that data solely to provide the Service to you — including sending relevant excerpts of it to the AI provider that powers grounded answers (see the Privacy Policy for exactly what is shared and with whom). We don't use your business data to train models for other customers, and we don't sell it.
6. AI-generated content
Anchor's AI answers are grounded in your own retrieved data wherever possible, but AI systems can still make mistakes, and language can be ambiguous. You're responsible for reviewing AI-suggested actions before approving them (Anchor requires explicit owner/admin approval before any AI-suggested action with a real-world consequence takes effect), and for verifying anything customer-facing before relying on it for a decision with real financial or legal consequences.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to store or transmit unlawful content, to attempt to access another business's data, to reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the underlying models or source code, or to use the Service in a way that could disrupt it for other customers.
8. Termination
You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for a material breach of these Terms, including a security threat to the Service or other customers. On termination, your data is retained or deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is." Anchor is an early-stage product; we don't currently hold SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certification, and we say so plainly rather than imply otherwise. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pinevon isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service. [A liability cap tied to fees paid, and any jurisdiction-specific consumer-protection carve-outs, should be added here with real legal review.]
10. Governing law

11. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. We'll post the updated version here with a new effective date; continued use of the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
