How to add an AI chat widget to your website

The steps to brand and install an AI chat widget, and how to check that it works.

The short answer

Most chat widgets install by pasting a small script before the closing body tag of your pages.

What Anchor does about it

In Anchor: open Business Website, set the widget name, welcome message, colour and position on the Widget tab, then copy the snippet from Installation and paste it into your pages. Anchor detects the install when the live script first loads.

Limits to know

  • The dashboard preview does not count as an installation. Copy the snippet again if you change settings.
