Our story
Started with one frustration: AI that answers with confidence, not with facts.

Most AI products optimize for a good demo. Ask a real question about a real order or a real price, and they guess anyway — fluently, confidently, and wrong. For a business, that's not a quirk, it's a liability.
Pinevon was started to build the opposite: software that treats a business's own data as the only source of truth, and says "I don't know" rather than inventing an answer. That principle shaped everything else — how we store data, how we design AI features, and which businesses we build for first.
We're a small, focused team. Anchor is the first full expression of that idea, built for online-based small and mid-sized businesses anywhere in the world — not tied to one country, currency, or language.
How we got here
The premise
We started from one complaint about software: it guesses, and it doesn't tell you. Every decision since has been downstream of fixing that.
Anchor ships
Anchor, our first product, went from idea to a real AI Business Operating System — grounded customer chat, plain-language owner insights, one shared data layer.
The rule we don't break
Every customer-facing answer about a real business comes from retrieval, never recall. Low confidence means a handoff to a human, not a confident guess.
What's next
Anchor is the first product built on Pinevon's architecture, not the last. Future products will share the same grounding principle.
