What AI features cost and how limits work

How AI usage is measured, estimated and capped, and what happens when a limit is reached.

The short answer

AI usage is metered because every call to a language model has a cost. Sensible tools show you the usage and cap it.

What Anchor does about it

Anchor counts AI calls towards a monthly budget in your plan and shows total calls, estimated cost, latency and failures. Costs are estimates from public provider pricing, not invoices. When the budget is reached, AI features pause; the rest of Anchor keeps working.
