Terms of Service

1. Who we are and what these Terms cover

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Pinevon (“Pinevon”, “we”, “us”), the business that operates pinevon.com and the products offered through it. They govern your access to and use of pinevon.com, your Pinevon account, the Pinevon Assistant, and any other Pinevon-branded website or service that links to these Terms (together, the “Services”).

Your Pinevon account is also how you sign in to Anchor and other Pinevon products. Each product may add its own terms (for example, Anchor’s Terms). If a product’s terms conflict with these Terms for that product, the product’s terms control for that product.

If you use the Services on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind it, and “you” includes that organization.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority where you live, and able to form a binding contract. You must not be barred from receiving the Services under applicable law, including sanctions and export-control laws.

3. Your account

• Give accurate, current information and keep it up to date.
• Keep your credentials, passkeys and recovery methods confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account until you tell us it has been compromised.
• Tell us promptly at security@pinevon.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
• One account is for one person. Do not share it; use the team and role features of the relevant product to give colleagues access.
• We may require you to re-verify your identity (for example with a password or second factor) before sensitive actions.

4. Using the Services

Subject to these Terms we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to access and use the Services for your own lawful personal or internal business purposes.

You must follow our Acceptable Use Policy. We may update, add or remove features, and may impose reasonable limits (for example rate limits or storage limits) to protect the Services and other users.

5. Your content and our license to it

You keep ownership of the content you submit (“Your Content”). You grant Pinevon a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, transmit and display Your Content only as needed to provide, secure, support and improve the Services for you, and as described in the Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for Your Content and for having the rights and any consents needed to submit it, including personal data of other people.

We do not use Your Content to train general-purpose AI models. See the AI Use Policy.

6. Our intellectual property

The Services, including software, design, text, graphics, the Pinevon and Anchor names and logos, are owned by Pinevon or its licensors and protected by intellectual-property law. These Terms do not transfer any ownership to you. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, decompile or reverse-engineer the Services except where the law allows despite this restriction.

If you send us feedback or suggestions, you allow us to use them without obligation to you.

7. The Pinevon Assistant and AI features

The Pinevon Assistant and other AI features generate responses automatically and can be wrong or out of date. They are informational and are not professional, legal, financial or medical advice. Verify anything important before acting on it. See the AI Use Policy for how AI is used, what is sent to AI providers and how to reach a human.

8. Paid plans, taxes and refunds

Some products are paid. Prices, billing periods, trials and limits are shown at purchase. Payments are processed by third-party payment providers; we do not store your full card details. Unless stated otherwise, plans renew automatically until cancelled, and taxes are added where required.

Cancellation, refund and chargeback rules are in the Refund and Cancellation Policy. Nothing in these Terms limits any refund right you have under mandatory consumer law.

9. Third-party services

The Services rely on and may link to third-party services (for example hosting, email delivery, payment, AI providers and sign-in providers such as Google or GitHub). Their own terms apply to your use of them, and we are not responsible for them. Our providers are listed on the Subprocessors page.

10. Privacy and data protection

How we handle personal data is described in the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. Where we process personal data on behalf of a business customer, the Data Processing Addendum applies.

11. Availability, changes and support

We work to keep the Services available and secure but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, and no uptime commitment applies unless a written agreement says so. Current status is published at /status. We may perform maintenance, and may change or discontinue a feature; where a change materially harms paying customers we will give reasonable notice.

12. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Services and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate access, with notice where practical, if you materially breach these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, if required by law, if your use creates a security or legal risk, or if fees are unpaid after reasonable notice.

On termination your right to use the Services ends. Sections that by their nature should survive (ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law) survive. Data is retained and deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.

13. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and that results will be accurate or uninterrupted. Pinevon is an early-stage company. We do not currently hold SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certification and do not claim to.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pinevon and its owners, officers, employees and contractors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the greater of the amount you paid Pinevon for the affected Service in the 12 months before the event or USD 100.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including for fraud, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.

15. Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify Pinevon against third-party claims and resulting losses arising from Your Content, your misuse of the Services, or your breach of these Terms or the law, except to the extent caused by Pinevon. This section does not apply to consumers where the law forbids it.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The parties will first try in good faith to resolve a dispute by contacting legal@pinevon.com. If that fails, the dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Dhaka, Bangladesh, except that either party may seek urgent injunctive relief in any competent court and consumers keep any mandatory right to sue in their home country.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will post the new version with its version number and, for material changes, notify you by email or in the product at least 14 days before they apply. If you keep using the Services after the change takes effect you accept the updated Terms; if you do not agree, stop using the Services and delete your account.

18. General

• Entire agreement: these Terms and the documents they link to are the whole agreement about the Services.
• Severability: if a provision is unenforceable the rest remains in effect.
• No waiver: failing to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
• Assignment: you may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
• Notices: we may notify you by email to your account address or in the product; you may notify us at the legal address below.
• Force majeure: neither party is liable for delay caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
