Webhooks, signatures and idempotency

Receiving events from providers without trusting the sender blindly.

Verify

Check the provider’s cryptographic signature on the raw body, and reject stale timestamps, before you touch your data.

Be idempotent

Providers retry. Record event ids and make handlers safe to run twice.

Respond quickly

Acknowledge fast and do slow work afterwards, so a slow handler does not trigger retries.

Grounded answers, or a real handoff

Hi, I'm the Pinevon assistant. Ask me about Anchor, how grounding works, or how to get started — if I don't actually know something, I'll say so instead of guessing.
